Matthew Downs Selby To Set Up Finale With Willstrop

Nick Matthew secured his place in the final of the AJ Bell British Squash Grand Prix after beating compatriot Daryl Selby 3-1 at the National Squash Centre.

Yorkshire-man Matthew looked very assured in the opening games as he raced into an early lead before remaining collected during a second that was regularly disrupted, with Selby disagreeing with the referee’s decisions, to double his lead.

Stunning Comeback Sees Willstrop Book British Grand Prix Final Spot

Former World No.1 James Willstrop produced an incredible comeback from two games down to beat number one seed and current World No.3 Gregory Gaultier in the first semi-final at this year's AJ Bell British Squash Grand Prix, triumphing 3-2 to advance to the final.

2015 World Champion Gaultier looked comfortable as he opened up an early two game lead after controlling the court, but no one would have a predicted what was to come from Willstrop.

Matthew Thwarts Lee To Set Up All-English Semi

World No.4 Nick Matthew is through to the semi-final of the AJ Bell British Squash Grand Prix after navigating his way past dangerous Hong Kong number one Max Lee.

Matthew came through 3-1 and took the first game with relative comfort, but the victory wasn’t all plain sailing for the English number one with Lee taking the second game and asking questions of the 36-year-old before a series of unforced errors in the third allowed the former World No.1 to get back on top.
